The Church of Cosmic Oneness

of the Order of Unicosmoism and the Unicosmic Way

For every person and living thing you care about and love, the world becomes a better place.

THE CELESTIAL TRIAD SPIRAL

In the beginning, there was only Oneness. In Unicosmoism, we believe that Oneness remains the consciousness at the heart of existence. Each living being is a way for the universe to experience itself. We may experience life as individuals, but we are never separate from the whole. This belief shapes how we treat one another and the world we share. The eight doctrines below offer guidance for putting it into practice. At a time when so much divides us, we need to remember how much we depend on each other.

The 8 Doctrines of Unicosmoism

1. Doctrine of Oneness/Unity

All life belongs to a single, divine whole. Each of us is part of the universe, and what we do affects others. Recognizing this connection asks us to look beyond our own immediate needs.

2. Doctrine of Cosmic Harmony

We seek to live in harmony with the universe. This begins with paying attention to how we live and noticing when our choices cause harm. Finding balance takes practice, including a willingness to change.

3. Doctrine of Universal Love

We believe love is part of our connection to all life. We express it through kindness and concern for the well-being of others, including those we struggle to understand.

“Every being deserves compassion.”

4. Doctrine of Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth continues throughout our lives. We learn through experience and by questioning what we think we know. As our understanding deepens, it changes how we relate to the world around us.

5. Doctrine of Cosmic Responsibility

We have a responsibility to care for the Earth and the life it supports. Our faith asks us to take that responsibility seriously in our daily choices. The planet sustains us, and our treatment of it has consequences beyond our own lifetimes.

6. Doctrine of Collective Enlightenment

We learn from one another. Sharing what we have come to understand can help someone else, while listening can reveal what we have missed. Community gives us a place to grow together.

7. Doctrine of Non-Division

We reject the belief that we are fundamentally separate. We respect different spiritual traditions and welcome those who seek truth and unity. Our beliefs may differ, but those differences do not erase our connection.

8. Doctrine of Inner Peace

We cultivate inner peace through meditation and honest reflection. Learning to understand our own reactions can help us respond to others with greater patience. That practice matters in difficult moments, even when peace feels out of reach.

To follow the Unicosmic Path is to put these teachings into practice in everyday life. There will be times when we fall short. We can acknowledge that and try again. We belong to the same universe, and each of us has a part in caring for it.

I’d like to give special thanks to Alan Watts, Carl Jung, and Terence McKenna for their profound insights, which have deeply influenced my understanding of existence, reality, and the Universe.
